When restocking a container, LogButler has several fields for container information it requires.
- Restock Date
- This can be backdated if the container is being added into LogButler at a different date than the container was received
- Container Number
- This is a numbering system your location has in place. When a new shipment of containers is received, you will need to assign a new number to each container and manually write this number on the container (ex. 25-1,1-2025 etc.)
- Quantity
- This will be the current quantity of the container (ex. 30ml, 30 tablets, 1.5ml etc) or the manufacturer quantity for new containers
- Lot Number
- This number will be located on the container
- Invoice Number
- This will be the number on the invoice received when the shipment of your drugs arrives
- NDC Number
- National Drug Code, is a unique 10 or 11-digit, 3-segment number and should be located on the container. NADA is also used in place of an NDC number
- Manufacturer
- Typically this is located on the container and will be the company who made the drug
- Distributor
- This will be the name of the company that sold and shipped the drug to you
- Container Expiration Date
- The date of when the container expires
- Container Status
- If the container has not been opened, you will leave the status as Unopened. If the container has been opened prior to adding in Logbutler, you will use the drop-down menu to change the status to Opened
