The Record Waste option can be used for any expired, broken, or unwanted medications. You can only record waste with an open container.
- If you do not see the container you need, select the blue Open A New Container and select the container you need.
- Input your signature and select Open Container
- This container can now be wasted
- Once the container has been wasted, it must also be "Finished" under Manage Inventory
Please note that the DEA requires two signatures for any type of waste, which is why 2 signatures are needed in this section.
