When a weight-tracked container is marked as "Finished" in VetSnap, the system automatically calculates how much of the drug should remain in the bottle. This is based on three key inputs:

  • The Open Bottle Weight

  • The Final Bottle Weight

  • The Mass-to-Quantity Conversion value set for that container

Using these, LogButler determines the expected remaining quantity. The Calculated Manufacturer Overage or Underage reflects any difference between the expected and actual remaining amount.

If you see a large discrepancy, it may indicate that the mass-to-quantity conversion value entered for that drug is incorrect and should be reviewed.
