If Double Confirmation was enabled for a controlled drug during setup, each log entry requires a second signature to confirm the recorded quantity. This must be completed by a different staff member than the one who created the log entry. Anyone with Record Logs permission can confirm the entry unless it is in the Reconcile tab.
How Do I Enter a Secondary Signature?
- In the Logbook: Select the log entry, toggle Confirmed, add a comment, and input your signature and PIN.
- In the Reconcile Tab: Open the log entry, click Edit, toggle Confirmed, add a comment, and enter your signature and PIN.
- Within the reconcile tab there is the option to bulk double confirm. You will set the Confirmation filter as Needs Confirmation. Click on the checkboxes to the left of the logs that appear and click on Double Confirm.
What if I Can't Confirm a Log?
If a log is in the Reconcile tab and you do not have Reconcile permissions, you will not be able to confirm it there. Instead, you must confirm the log within the Logbook.
What Are the Double Confirmation Inventory Settings?
- Required on Reconcile to Archive: One signature is required to save the log entry, but a second signature must be added before the log can be archived.
- Required on Log Creation: Both signatures must be entered at the same time for the log entry to be saved.
